ASEAN Peoples Forum @ASEAN2025

On 24–25 May 2025, the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) proudly participated in the ASEAN Peoples’ Forum@ASEAN2025 as one of the endorsing civil society organisations. During the thematic cluster on “Just Energy Transition, Environment and Biodiversity” under the event organised by SEACAR Alliance – “Strengthening Southeast Asia: Where Collaboration Meets Climate Adaptation,” MNS was given the opportunity to showcase the Rantaian Urban Green Spaces (RUGS) project.

Represented by Vivian Soon, MNS highlighted RUGS as a leading nature-based solution in urban settings, sharing success stories and case studies from the Klang Valley and beyond. The session featured a powerful compilation of urban adaptation initiatives across Southeast Asia, spotlighting innovative technologies, climate data applications, and community-led conservation efforts that advance environmental resilience in the region.
