Tree Planting and Trail Building : TMF Malaysia

On 19 April 2025, 37 volunteers from TMF Malaysia collaborated with the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) for a meaningful CSR programme focused on trail building for restoring green connectivity in Klang Valley, particularly in Federal Hill.

The day began with a brief introduction by Vivian Soon (Wildlife and Conservation Officer), who shared the vision behind MNS’ Rantaian Urban Green Spaces (RUGS) project and its role in reconnecting fragmented green spaces for urban biodiversity and walkability.

The TMF Malaysia volunteers experienced hands-on planting of Merbau seeds into polybags, a first step in nurturing native trees for future reforestation efforts. Following that, the volunteers restored the Heritage Trail by spreading crusher run along the existing trail.
