
On 15 March 2025, the Malaysian Nature Society (MNS) was featured in the “Urban Wetlands for Biodiversity and Water Resilience” webinar hosted by Malaysia Green Building Council (malaysiaGBC). Represented by Wildlife and Conservation Officer Vivian Soon, MNS presented the Rantaian Urban Green Spaces (RUGS) project, with a focus on the potential of connecting urban wetlands and riparian corridors as part of a nature-based approach to enhance biodiversity and urban water resilience.The session brought together experts and practitioners to explore innovative solutions integrating wetlands into urban landscapes, with RUGS showcased as a key initiative in reconnecting fragmented green spaces across the Klang Valley.
